5km Swim For George
Luton Scout Charlotte Pound from Warden Hill Scout Group is keeping her Scout Promise, to think of others, as she campaigns to raise money for much needed medical treatment for a fellow Arnold Academy school pupil who was recently diagnosed with a life threatening brain tumour.
Charlotte, aged 12, felt like she was unable to do anything to help class mate George until she heard that his family were raising funds for a potential treatment and thought of doing a sponsored swim. As a keen swimmer Charlotte set herself the challenge of swimming 5km within a set time limit. She will be attempting her 5km sponsored swim on Friday 4th June. A bigger challenge may be to raise her £5,000 goal but she is determined to achieve both for George.
