Adam Goodman Memorial Competition

Falkes Scout District decided the competition for the Adam Goodman Memorial Competition should be a Cart Race for Beavers Scout, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Adult Volunteers.

There were two courses for each section, straight line drag race (well all most when watching the carts race) and circular, both against the time.
Present were Leagrave, Someries Hill , Strathmore – Blue Foxes, Wigmore Valley Air Scouts and Hydra Explorer Unit.

The skilful designs were put to the task of racing, much to the fun, laughter and enjoyment of the participants, their leaders and spectators.

The winners of each section drag and oval received medals each and the explorers received a small trophy each.

The overall winners are Leagrave Scout Group and John Rees accepted the Adam Goodman Memorial Competition Flag
Medals and Competition Flag which were presented by Alan Goodman and District Commissioner Mark Webb.
Mark Webb commented that it was a really fantastic afternoon, despite the cold and slightly damp weather! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
