Bedfordshire County Awards 2019

Date: 3rd Nov 2019 Author: Gerald Law

The Bedfordshire County Scout awards day is designed to recognise all the hard work that goes on within Bedfordshire Scouting, be it the youths work or the volunteers.

3 ceremonies were held over the day: One for the Beavers, another for the Cubs and one for the Scout, Explorer and Leader awards. Of course there was a great Luton presence!

We were lucky enough to be treated to a chat by Mark Wood, Scout ambassador and Explorer who next year will be spending 100 days alone trekking the North Pole! He was an inspiration and his talk was enjoyed by all.

We were also lucky enough to be treated by a visit from the Bedfordshire Lions, the unit who represented Bedfordshire at the World Scout Jamboree this summer. They told us their anecdotes and showed us some of their awesome swaps from the event. (Thanks to Bedfordshires World Scout Jamboree team for the photo)

Many Luton Scouts collected awards on this day including others:
