Explorers conquer Luton’s Half Marathon
Four Luton Explorer members from Phoenix ESU conquered Luton’s Half Marathon today at their first attempt.
With a time of around 2 hours 15 minutes they beat half the field of over 800 runners and raised at least £750 to share with LAMP, a charity set up to help homeless teenagers in Luton.
The results were:
Clover Heather, 26th place in category, W40 2:15:21
Steve Gaunt, 39th place in category M45, 2:09:41
Jerome Doyle, 43rd place in category M45, 2:11:11
Luis Aldorino, 77th place in category Snr, 1:44:33
Clover said, “Everyone finished in time for lunch and they’re still smiling. Well done to my team mates. Thanks for all the support that everyone has given us both today along the route and in your massive donations.”
