Icknield Pat O’Hara Trophy 2018

Congratulations goes to St Joseph’s Scout Troop for winning the prestigious Icknield Pat O’Hara Trophy 2018 for the 2nd year running.

Activities included Camping, Cooking, Pioneering, Wall Climbing and Self Build Rafts on the river.

It was a very close call with Warden Hill coming 2nd, Wardown 9th in 3rd place and Blenheim in 4th.

It was a challenging weekend for the campers with the turbulent weather, watching the scouts being the best they can.

All the Patrols were great and all were winners.

These activity would not happen without the planning efforts by Assistant District Commissioner James Hinkins and his team of leaders plus the Young Leader Explorers team.

James comments that it took hard work in getting right but well worth it when you are rewarded with seeing happy, achieving Scouts.

District Commissioner Libby Bassam said “ Great Weekend, a close competition but a great effort by everybody. Thanks to James for organising another great event”.
