Luton Scouts remember them with poppies

Date: 14th Nov 2016 Author: Gerald Law
We will remember them with our poppies say Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and their leaders at Luton Remembrance Services around the town on Sunday.

In bright morning sunshine Luton Scouts came from all quarters to lay poppies at cenotaphs and war memorials in the town in what leaders described as a wonderful turnout. Here are some of the comments:

“Thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders who attended the Remembrance Day Parades and Services across the Town today.” Falkes DC Mark Webb.

“Great turn out from Leagrave Scout Group at RBL Marsh Road, Luton. Over 60 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders turned out with Lea Scout Group, Phoenix Explorers, Brownies, Army Reserve and members of the RBL at today’s Remembrance Parade.” Scout Leader Gary Sturrock.

Everyone across the two districts that attended the Luton Remembrance Parade looked smart and were a credit to Scouting – Well Done. Deputy DC Adrian Kedge.
