Luton Scouts from Icknield Scout District along with helpers for parents, hosted the annual swimming gala at the Inspire swimming pool, Luton on Sunday 6th October.

Every section of scouting took part with lots of exuberance in the competition, all showing off their skills and drive to win, those who swam ranged from beaver scouts to leaders raced in various swimming styles over an exciting four hour event.
In a very nail biting conclusion, after attendance by Blenheim, First Luton, Sells 7th, St. Augustine’s, St. Josephs, Warden hills and Wardown 9th Scouts.
Overall winner was First Luton Sea Scouts
• Winner of the Scouts was Warden Hills,
• Winner of the Cub Scout cubs was First Luton
• Winner of the Beaver Scout section was Warden Hills.

Libby Bassam, District commissioner delivered the final verdicts, handle out certificates and plaques ready for the winning names to be engraved, everyone was inspired
Thank you to all the leaders who organised the event, as usual this would have not happened without this magnificent show of unity, many parents sat in the audience watching the event cheering on the competitors and supporting the children.
