On Sunday 9th June and in conjunction with a generous donation of nearly £125.00 as well as a group of 8 staff from Argos UK Bedford Interchange Retail Park 12 scouts, 3 leaders and the GSL from Leagrave Scout Group set about cleaning up and makeover of the Royal British Legion War Memorial on Marsh Road, Leagrave.

Edging stones dug up and realigned, borders refuge and lined, groundwork carried out, paths raked and de-weeded, bushes trimmed, grass cut and you can see the difference. The group will continue with the up keep and the tradition of attendance at the Remembrance Parade every November 11th remembering those who gave their lives for us.

A huge thank you to Argos UK and staff from Bedford Interchange store for their help. Thanks also goes to Luton Borough Council for their support and the staff of RBL Marsh Road branch.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
